At the end of this post are some places to get started learning about what your vet WON’T tell you OR he just doesn’t really know about inoculations!

Dr. Jean Dodds (the Grandmother of inoculation research) is now teaching Vet Med students the importance of LIMITED vaccinations and getting yearly “titer’s” instead!

ALL vaccinations’ should be followed up by a homeopathic, to combat side effects. Either Thuja, Sulphur or Lyssin (not to be confused with the supplement L-Lysine ) should be given, depending on which one they get. I can help you with this. Also, Jessica Lynn from Earth Song Ranch has a great article explaining Homeopathy: http://www.earthsongranch.com/catalog/Homeopathy_Remedies.pdf

My purpose is not to scare you but to help you become aware of the dangers that yearly over-vaccinating could possibly mean to your dog.  They could have a reaction the day they receive it or weeks later. I believe that dog’s need the “core” vaccinations but should be titered every year there after and not get the “booster’s” most vets recommend.  If the antibody is present in the dog’s system…..why would he need another shot?

Year’s ago, the German Shepherd our son had was a certified Delta Dog. Dog’s who are trained as “Service Dogs” have a calm demeanor and love the gentle work they do for their owners. When his dog was given a Rabies shot (this was about his 3rd one in his life), he turned into a different animal!  He tore apart their Christmas Tree and other things, and when friends came into their home he would grab them by the arm and clamp down and not let go! Not extremely hard, but hard enough! This behavior is VERY uncharacteristic of a Service Dog!  Tom’s wife Lisa administered Lyssin in the recommended dosage for two weeks, and the behaviors slowly but surely stopped.

Vaccinations’ can cause the following:

Seizures and Epilepsy
Allergies
Autoimmune diseases, including organ disease, allergies and skin problems
Chronic digestive problems
Muscle weakness, especially lack of hind end coordination
Chronic digestive disorders
Skin diseases like Ischemic Dermatopathy / Cutaneous vasculitis
Behavior problems: aggression, destructive behaviors, separation anxiety and odd obsessive behaviors (like tail chasing and paw licking).  Also can cause cancer at the injection site.

Please listen to the videos below and read the articles at Shirley’s Wellness Cafe’ to become better aware of the dangers your dog could face from Vaccinations.

Hi Karen, first I am so enjoying your site. Bri, Chinese Crested, had a reaction to rabies the last time I gave it – 3 years ago – She became timid at new sites & very defensive at home. This started 3 weeks after the shot. No one would believe me that I knew it was the shot. She is due the end of Feb. for her next rabies. I will deffinitely get one of the supportive homepathics. What would you recommend? I do pull titers and so far I have not had to give anymore. I had her breeder start her on Dr. Dodd’s schedule of shots & that is all she has ever had. Welcome back to Paw Powers & hope to see you there.

      Hiiiii Ruth!
So nice to hear from you!
Wellllll……you remember my Shamrock, right???? There was case of an over-inoculated dog!!! Aggressive to people and dogs, sick and sometimes unable to function!
My recommendation…..NEVER give that dog another shot! It could actually kill her! Most people do not realize that they give a 3 pound Yorkie the same amount of serum that they give a 250 pound Mastiff! You need to get a holistic veterinarian who will write a letter to your state, when they come calling telling you it’s time for your dog’s Rabies vaccination, describing why she CANNOT have this. Inoculation serums, on their medical sheets, states that if a dog or cat has an illness or allergy or one that has had a previous reaction is considered “AT RISK”! A letter, an explanation and titer showing that the rabies antibody is active in its system, from a DVM, will excluded the animal from the states regulations. The letter would read something like this from the vet: “This letter is to verify my recommendation that this animal should NOT be given vaccinations due to the risk of creating or exacerbating illnesses in this animal.” etc.
Just to give you an example of just how long inoculations last, Shamrock had her last shots at 2 years old and when I titered her at 11 1/2 year old (9 1/2 years later) her count of antibodies was large enough to cover 10 dogs! It wouldn’t hurt to give her the homeopathic’s now for the previous inoculations and also to detox her liver with another homeopathic.
Let me know how I can help if you need any more info!
My best to you, Karen :)
